Advanced Performance Management Training

Managing with AIMS

What specific skills do managers require to strengthen the commitment and discretionary effort of team members?

Many organisations talk about 'creating alignment'. This is generally linked to targets and use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). However, our research shows that relationship building to gain influence is also an essential element.

Based on extensive research, the Pario Authentic Leadership (PAL180) uses feedback from team members to highlight key aspects of management behaviour that impact on people's motivation and well-being. This feedback forms the basis of the PAL180 report, which can then be used for coaching and training to develop the key skills.

The initial PAL180 assessment profiles feedback ratings across different departments and/or work groups. The optional, in-house training programme is tailored to client requirements and builds on the initial 180ยบ feedback.

Key elements linked to Managing with AIMS include: Appreciation, Insight, Meaning & Support.

The programme that (i) gives insight into key steps that contribute to Authentic Leadership, notably the process of building trust and shared values, (ii) strengthens communcation of goals, and (ii) builds the skills required to support 'purposeful conversations' that strengthen employee engagement and discretionary effort.

Managing with AIMS Training is an in-house programme designed for up to 16 managers.
